I bring a calming energy and knowledgeable presence to your childbirth classes and your birthing space. My role is to help you navigate the sometimes troubled waters of childbirth. Prenatally, I teach self-hypnosis skills in 4 comprehensive birth class sessions in Leesburg, VA so you can feel ready to ease into the experience of birth and parenthood with more confidence and comfort. After completing our classes together, I continue to provide companionship during pregnancy, throughout the birthing day, and into the postpartum time to clients who are birthing at Premier Birth Center, Loudoun Inova Hospital (select providers), Fair Oaks Hospital, StoneSprings Hospital (with the midwives) and a few other select locations, including your home, if you have already selected a qualified medical attendant. It’s for everyone! Any change you wish to make, whether it’s to be less afraid, feel more confident, or take up a healthy behavior, self-hypnosis skills are enjoyable, intuitive and easy to learn. They are also incredibly powerful for supporting your childbirth experience. You’ll be able to stay more peaceful and comfortable while easily accepting anything you might need and confidently saying, “no, thanks” to anything you don’t need for your birth journey.
Of course everyone does what they can do to prioritize their health and their baby’s health. Whether there are health concerns presently in the mix or not, nobody gets to take away your choices. You have permission to stay unmedicated and you have permission to opt for an epidural. I believe everybody deserves to make decisions about their bodies and their experiences and feel zero guilt about it. For real! At the end of the day, our good health AND our experience with healthcare both matter equally.
